My heart for young ladies of my generation is first and foremost ~Desire a relationship with God ~ because once he is the head and savior of your life nothing can separate you from his love and from what he can do in your life. A TRUE relationship, a relationship like you have with your best friend. Talk to God about your day and your struggles, thank him for what he has given you and just love on him because that, is what a relationship is. I also desire for the young ladies of my generation is to, ~Be in the world, but not of it~ It is so EASY to be like the world today, to act, speak, and be a certain way, so people can like you. Please go read : Revelation 3:16 God will respect you more if you are completely in the world, and NOT care anything for Christ. But you will live a more abundantly and prosperous life with God in your life. Be REAL. If you want to live for God, live for him wholeheartedly and follow him ONLY. Do not flip flop on Sunday and live however you want Monday-Saturday. God wants you to be authentic. Because at the end of the day, who matters? God or The World (people, yourself, sin, popularity)? Colossians 3:11 ERV,”….. Christ is all that matters, and he is in all of you.” Does that special boy matter over Christ? Does the way people view you matter? Does your success and popularity matter? Ask yourself these questions. At the end of the day, who will judge you, when it is all said and done? Christ will always matter, God’s opinion about you should matter the most.
The last and final thing I have on my heart for my generation is~Build friendships that will last a lifetime~ We can get so caught up in being friends with someone that you can just have fun and good times with, and there is nothing wrong with that. But who are you going to talk to when the going gets tough, when everything isn’t going right or when life is just really hard. We all need those fun and “have a good time with” friends, but can they keep it real with you and tell you that you are living a non Christian life. The bible says in, Proverbs 18:24 AMP, “The man of many friends [a friend of all the world] will prove himself a bad friend, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
This verse is basically saying a person with friends who just makes them feel good or a friend that is not in the Word of God at all, will prove himself as a bad friend. But a good friend will become like a sister, a friend you can go to when the going gets tough, someone who will love you a support you when you just need them to, a friend who will not judge you, but love you for who are. We need sisters who can challenge us, make us better than the person we were a year ago, someone who tells us, when we are doing wrong. That’s what we NEED, but no one wants that friend that will hold them accountable, but God says that is what we NEED. These are the things that have been on my heart for a while and this is my prayer for not only my readers. but for myself also. My prayer is that WE build and grow that relationship with OUR Father, WE be of Christ and not of the world, and lastly WE find those friends that will love US for who WE are, but also wants to see US grow for what God has created US to be. I love you. And I pray that you are encouraged and empowered by my blog post.
