Patience- the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset; the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like; quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care; diligence

I suck at being patient. But surprisingly, this is the current season that I am in. When I have my mind set on something I want, I want it now. It can be something materialistic or something that The Lord told me will come to pass. Throughout this season, I am learning how to be patient, but also understanding why I need to be patient. It is really difficult to be patient with the Lord because you wander if he even hears your prayers and understands what you are going through. I was in the same position, but throughout this season I have been talking to God about how I feel, what is going on in my head, and how hard it is to be patient with him. He reassures me every time that he is working, and my trust in him shows my faithfulness. The Lord sees your faithfulness. I want to encourage you that The Lord is working in your life, you may not see exactly what he is doing, but he is making some things happen through you and for you. We just have to be patient with The Lord. Patience is a choice. I am choosing to be patient with The Lord, which means I choose to not get angry at him because he is not working at the speed I want him to. I am choosing to not get in my feelings because The Lord is not doing what I told him to do. I am choosing to not doubt God. I am choosing to not become spiteful towards him. I choose to remain faithful. I choose to trust in his word and what he tells me. I choose to accept that his timing is the best timing. You can either choose to trust God’s plan and be patient with him or doubt God’s plan and do your own thing. Do not rid yourself of your own blessing because of your impatience. Patience is challenging, but with patience comes suffering, and with suffering comes growth, and with growth comes a better you.

“Everything has already been decided. It was known long ago what each person would be. So there’s no use arguing with God about your destiny.”
